What if i have already completed both studies that are being offered?
We are so happy you have been on this journey with us! As you know, the Lord is continually transforming our hearts and minds as we seek to grow in our relationship with Him. Revisiting a previously completed study provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon God’s hand in our lives, allows us to see how we have grown, and encourages us to continue striving to be the beloved daughter He calls us to be. We recommend that you purchase a new study guide so that you can lean into this study and reflect on where God is calling you in your current season of life.
When Does Walking with purpose meet?
Our ministry at Christ the King meets September through April. We offer Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening sessions. Morning session meets from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Evening session meets from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
Where does Walking with Purpose Meet?
CTK Walking with Purpose meets in the Christ the King Ministries Building located at 3900 N. Rodney Parham Road. It's the red brick building with the maroon awning out front!
Where Should I begin my Walking with Purpose Journey?
All new participants begin their journey with Opening Your Heart, the Starting Point. Regardless of previous Bible study experience, Opening Your Heart is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart as it explores the core questions that we need to wrestle with if we want to experience all that God has in store for us.
When Does Registration Open?
Registration opens in August of each year.
How Do I register?
If you love mornings, select our "Morning Bible Study" page. If evenings work better, select our "Evening Bible Study" page. Prefer the feel of paper and pen in your hand? Stop by the CTK Church office at 4000 N. Rodney Parham Road to complete a paper registration form and drop off your payment.
Is there a registration deadline?
It takes a lot to plan an amazing Bible study. The earlier you register, the better we can plan and the more women we can serve. We will begin our session with a Meet & Greet around the 3rd week of September and will then dive into our study the following week. We would hate for you to miss out on a single second! Sign up to receive our email notifications so that you will receive an invitation to register as soon as registration opens in August. If registration has already opened, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND REGISTER NOW!
Is ChildCare Available?
CTK Nursery will be available for morning participants and will serve children 6 months - 4 years of age. We currently are unable to offer childcare for the evening ministry. Registration with the Christ the King nursery is required.
What is included with my registration Fee?
Our fee for the 22-week session includes the cost of the study guides and a ministry support fee to cover the costs of operating the WWP ministry (including expenses such as nametags, centerpieces, & gifts, refreshments, group projects, vocation discernment week activities, and small group takeaways and handouts). WWP is a self-funded ministry.
Are there scholarships available?
Financial challenges should never be a barrier for a woman seeking to grow in relationship with our Lord. Please reach out to us at [email protected] . We have a limited number of partial scholarships available.
What if My child is Too Young for the Nursery?
Trust us when we say that all our participants love to see young mothers carrying out their vocations live! We love having your baby as a part of our weekly meetings until he/she is old enough for the nursery.
WHAT IF I JUST CAN'T COMMIT?
Morning Connect Coffees and evening video weeks are a great time to pop in and see what we are all about! Check out our morning and evening calendars for these dates.
WHAT IF I REGISTER BUT DECIDE I CANNOT PARTICIPATE? CAN I GET A REFUND?
We know that life happens! Please notify us at least 14 days prior to our scheduled kickoff, and we will refund your registration fee of $35. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund registration fees within two weeks of kickoff. Regardless of timing, we will be happy to make arrangements for you to pick up your study guide at the CTK church office so that you can begin the study on your own!
WHAT BIBLE DO YOU RECOMMEND?
WWP recommends using either the NABRE (New American Bible, Revised Addition) or the RSVCE (Revised Standard Version, Catholic Addition) translations. Be sure to get a Catholic version, as Protestant versions of the Bible are missing seven books (at the time of the Reformation, the books of Sirach, Tobit, Wisdom, Judith, 1&2 Maccabees, and Baruch, as well as portions of Daniel and Esther, were removed in order to embrace a canon of Scripture that reflected Protestant theological beliefs). Books were never added to the Catholic Bible-they have always been there.
HOW ARE SMALL GROUPS FORMED?
Small groups are formed with divine guidance. We allow the Holy Spirit to speak into the creation of small groups which are formed anew each year. In keeping with this national WWP policy, we are unable to accommodate specific requests. When we place our surrender and trust into the Lord's hands, especially when it concerns the study of His word, then only blessings will come.
Is Walking with Purpose available for all ages?
CTK Walking with Purpose welcomes women of all seasons of life ages 21 years and older.
